A high-level meeting was held on Sunday in which the Union Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that on June 1st he is planning to announce the date and format for class 12 CBSE board exams.
In the Sunday meeting, a decision was made that the CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021 will be held between July 15 and August 26 with all safety protocols for students and teachers. There are two options proposed for the board exams during the meeting — either set the exams for just the main 19 subjects only at notified exam center’s or conduct 90-minute exams for all subjects at the home schools of students.
In a report given out by Aaj Tak, the exam duration is going to be of just 30 minutes with an objective type of question paper. However, there is no official confirmation from the education ministry in this regard.
Most of the states are in the favour of examining with a short duration patter because of the pandemic. On the other hand states such as Delhi, Maharashtra, Goa and Andaman, and Nicobar had suggested not to hold the examinations. Some of the states are suggesting vaccinating students and teachers before conducting the examination.
