A bus heading towards Saans village in Tonk district with passenger guests to a marriage fall trap of an electric accident on Friday.
Witnesses shared the information that the bus was carrying 50 to 60 passengers out of which Fifteen people died and 31 were injured. People with injuries are taken to the hospital at Jaipur.
One of the passengers tried to tell what happened at that moment. He said he was sitting along with his cousin and the bus was moving through a wet and marshy area when this unfortunate incident happened. An electric wire fell on the bus and it stopped.
Meanwhile, the driver managed to jump out of the bus, and his cousin next to him got electrocuted.
Initially, passengers were all under the illusion that the tyre got punctured, and as time passed the electricity started to pass around the bus. As people started to realize what happened, that created panic and they started to jump off the bus.
However, the police said that driver is missing after this incident and was not seen at the incident spot.
Twenty people, including six children, were injured,” said Dr. D S Meena, in charge of the trauma ward at SMS Hospital, Jaipur.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje reacted quickly. She announced Rs 5 lakh each to the relatives of the deceased. And also announced Rs 2 lakh to the seriously injured and Rs 50,000 for the rest.
