As the second wave impact is still on and the cases of COVID-19 still holding strong.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has decided to further extend the suspension of international flights till June 30th. There will be an exemption for all cargo operations and special flights permitted by aviation regulator. The travel ban was on from last year’s March and still holds on.
The last extension was till May 31th 2021 due to the pandemic but permissions were given to flights operating under Center’s Vande Bharat Mission from May 2020 with an agreement with selected countries under bilateral “air bubble agreement”.
India has bilateral agreements with 27 countries which include USA, UK, UAE, France, Bhutan etc.
