A case has been filed against Senior Telugu Desam Party leader and former MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar for organizing a meeting with board members of Sangam Dairy at Novotel Hotel, Vijayawada on May 29.
The FIR says that At around 2 pm, Dhulipalla and 20 others members gathered in the lobby of Novotel and completed their lunch. After which they went to M Floor and conducted a meeting in the conference hall.
The police have received this whole case as a clear violation of the state government’s curfew rules for preventing the spread of Coronavirus. The case was booked under Epidemic Diseases Act 1897.
This meeting was the first meeting after the restoration of the license to Sangam Dairy by the state high court. In this meet, they took various decisions that included payment of interim dividend to the farmers to the extent of Rs 3.5 crore.
