Iran’s largest navy ship catches fire

Today the largest ship from the Iranian navy was found sunk in the Gulf of Oman after it caught fire. This is news gathered from some semiofficial news agencies.

The vessel sank near the Iranian port of Jack which is 1,275 kilometers southeast of Tehran on the Gulf of Oman that is near the Strait of Hormuz which is also called the narrow mouth of the Persian Gulf.

The fire began at around 2.30 am. As per the news agencies, Fars and Tasnim, great efforts were taken by the firefighters to save the support ship KHARG. But nothing helped. The ship Kharg is named after an island that serves as the main terminal for Oil in Iran.
