A high-level meeting was conducted by the Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal meeting on May 23 with all the states/UT education ministers, secretaries and chairpersons of state examination boards. The agenda included discussion on pending Class 12 board exams and entrance examinations for other professional courses.
The point that the Delhi government is not in favor of conducting Class 12 board exams was the key idea highlighted in the press conference by Delhi deputy chief minister, Manish Sisodia. It was also mentioned that the conventional and traditional practice of conducting exams may leave us in even bitter space, so this is not the right time to conduct exams, he said.
It was suggested that Class 12 students should be evaluated based on performance in internal assessments and If a student is not satisfied with the marks awarded, they should be allowed to appear for exams later,” Sisodia said.
