Second earthquake in Assam’s Tezpur on Monday

On Sunday at 2:23 pm an earthquake of magnitude 4.1 jolted Tezpur district.

According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the second earthquake of magnitude 3.8 hit Assam’s Tezpur on Monday morning. 

The epicenter where it took place was 44km west of Tezpur. It’s on records that the Earthquake occurred at 9:50 am at a depth of 24 kilometers. 

Sunday’s earthquake happened at 2:23 pm at the depth of 16km and its epicenter was 40km west of Tezpur with magnitude 4.1 Tezpur district as per sources. 

NCS said in a tweet: “Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.8, Occurred on 31-05-2021, 09:50:50 IST, Lat: 26.69 & Long: 92.35, Depth: 24 Km, Location: 44km W of Tezpur, Assam, India,”.
