Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) validity extended to lifetime with retrospective effect from 2011

The Ministry has passed instructions to all the states including Union territories to take necessary steps and like validating and re-issuing of fresh TET for those who completed 7 years holding this certificate and now it has lapsed.

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal “Nishank” announced on Thursday that this is going to be a big step for generating employment and also this will encourage people to make teaching their career.

TET would be conducted by the state governments and the validity of the TET certificates was seven years from the date of passing TET The guidelines dated February 11, 2011, of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), stated.
